Though it only happens once in year Christmas dinner is found to be a challenge to many as it requires a lot of effort to make it an enjoyable moment for everyone that attended. No need to worry in this article am going to show you simple tips you can follow and host a Hassle-Free Christmas Dinner.
Planning Ahead
The most stress come from trying to do the whole staff on the event day which is very challenging mostly if you invited many people and planned to do many interesting things. I advise you to start planning at least 3 days minimum before the event.
On my case planning 3 days before the event helps me to try different declarations and choose the best, inform my guests when it is still early and go through all food menus to choose the best meal.
Simplifying the Menu
Serving the best charismas meal doesn’t mean preparing something that have never existed. Just keep it simple by looking for a meal that is good and simple to prepare. You can find simple meals easily by searching ” simple delicious meals for Christmas ” on YouTube. Trust me your family and guests will love your choices than the complex meal you were thinking to serve.
This happened to me in 2019 when I was very stressed thinking of a 100% unique dinner, I could serve on Christmas, I became more even stressed in the Christmas morning as I had not come to a conclusion. The thing I did is I opened my phone, went to YouTube, looked into deferent meals and chose the simple one there as I was running out of time.
what I did I just added my few tips and trust me my family was really amazed by my dish and it’s the lesson I advise you to always try simple things that others loved because if those people loved it there is a chance your people will also love it.
Delegating Tasks
Another tip that always help me out on Christmas is calling my friends and family to share Christmas duties. This is so important as it will reduce your workload and allow you to achieve good results since all of you will be having own tasks to fucus on.
Organizing the Table Setup
This the part that will directly give you marks on your overall work, make sure to do your very best on side of table decor. If you have money, I even suggest you hire an expert. Nice looking table rises what we call first impression, what actually someone feel or think just after viewing something.
Nice looking table will make everyone feel it’s a well-prepared event and make them expect more is to come. There is nothing that makes me happy than going to a meeting and find the tables are well decolorated, I always try to bring the same feeling in my Christmas events.
Stress-Free Hosting Tips
The first best tip I recommend is avoiding thinking you are making mistakes in your speech, just feel confident. Second, encourage discussions as it will continue to boom out very engaging topics and remove you from the stress of thinking what story to rise.
Also try to play fresh good music, it helps people to be relaxed and enjoy it during the silence when no discussions.
Managing Last-Minute Issues
You must always have a plan b for last minute issues that might arise e.g. food shortage or unexpected guests that might come at the end. Be prepared that anything can happen at the end of your nice and well-prepared event and spoil everything.
Good end is what will remind the people the good start, make sure you maximize your effort from the start of the event to the end.
Conclusion
As a conclusion prepare early and always be relaxed. The tips provided above I use them not only for my Christmas but also in big events I host.
